The team just competed at Brandeis on February 6th and at Boston University on February 14th. We did very well, raking in ribbons across all the American Style dances.
Highlights include Mary Angeleri & BJ Sokolowski winning 4th in Silver Swing at BU, Mark Sherman & Heather Martin winning 1st in Novice (that's actually a high level) Smooth (Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, and Viennese Waltz) at BU, and Pat Mulhern & Chelsie Rose Clogston winning 5th in Silver Swing at Brandeis.
Overall at BU we did very well as a team!
BJ & Mary made 4th place in Silver Swing, and 9th overall in the Silver Rhythm category.
Ambarish & Shan made semifinals in Bronze Waltz, coming in 15th in both Bronze Smooth and Standard.
Mark & Heather took 1st in Novice Smooth (WTFV), also coming in 8th overall in Silver Rhythm.
Nick & Emily made semifinals in Bronze Tango, finishing 9th in Bronze Smooth and 17th in Bronze Rhythm.
Pat & Chelsie came in 19th in Bronze Rhythm.
Stacy & Caiti made quarterfinals in Bronze Swing, taking 25th overall in Bronze Rhythm.
Janet made semifinals in Bronze Waltz, quarterfinals in Bronze Cha Cha and Rumba.
Nelly took 6th in International Tango/Foxtrot, 8th in Novice Int. Viennese, and 3rd in Silver American Swing. Not bad, huh?
Bronze field was ~65 couples. Silver field was just over 30 couples.
Janet was there, too, but I don't have her number to look up the results! She did pretty well though! (Semifinals and such)
